Our Story:I'm not sure if you know this or not, but Wombats are not native to Colorado... and neither was our family! But our two kids (who are regularly referred to as wild wombats) have grown up here and exploring the mountains with them is one of our great joys in life. We aren't off-roading or overlanding experts, we haven't summitted every fourteener in the state, and we definitely aren't planning on thru-hiking the Continental Divide Trail anytime soon, but we have figured out how to get our whole family into the mountains for all sorts of screen-less adventures.We started Wild Wombat Adventures to make it easy for visiting (and local!) families to get into the mountains. Our Jeep Gladiator is not a fancy rock-climber or uber-expensive overlanding rig, but it opens the door to camping, skiing, fishing, and hiking in ways that an airport rental car never will. Want a bike rack and 4 mountain bikes loaded on when you get here? How about a camping kit with tent, kitchen, and sleeping bags ready to go? Need some help reserving family appropriate campgrounds and picking the right hiking options? We can do that too! Whether you simply need a fun open-air jeep to explore the mountains on your own, or you'd like us to concierge a full trip for you - we can help you and your family experience this state that we love.
